TO FIT ANY SIZE CRYSTAL, SPHERE OR BEAD
Free and easy. Requires only basic knowledge of jewelry findings and tools.
This listing will give you the concepts and design variations you can use to create your own unique bead/sphere holder/cages using virtually any size bead cap, headpins (or chain), and decorative beads.
Note: Complete instructions are provided below free of charge and you are welcome print out a copy of these instructions free of charge at home. You may also purchase a digital download with illustrations and more detailed instructions.

MADE IN JUST 4 QUICK AND EASY STEPS (WITH DESIGN VARIATIONS)

STEP ONE:
Select two bead caps that will be used to form the top and bottom of your cage.
***************************************************************************
STEP TWO:
Depending on your bead caps, you can be flexible on the number of "bars" (that connect the top bead cap to the bottom bead cap) you will be adding to your cage. In the example in the photo, I only made four bars due to the filigree bead cap I used but many bead caps have a number of openings at their base so you can add additional "bars" as desired.

STEP THREE:
The cage "bars" can be made in a variety of ways:
a. Cut head pins to equal lengths (add beads if desired) then using round nose pliers loop the top and bottom of each bar and attach to the top and bottom bead cap.
b. Use chain as "bars". Just cut the chain to equal lengths and attach to the top and bottom bead cap using jump rings.
c. Use connectors (2 loop rhinestones or findings) as bars. Again, just attach the connector to the top and bottom bead cap using jump rings.

STEP FOUR:
The top of cage can also be made in a variety of ways:
a. Wire wrap a top loop using a 3 inch headpin. Just put the headpin up through the hole in the center of top bead cap and create a wire wrapped loop. Before you create your loop you can add beads, or other smaller bead caps to add an additional design element to your creation.
b. Glue on a up eye (allow glue to dry thoroughly), then add a bail of your choosing (just attach the bail to the hole in the up eye with a jump ring).
c. Using a 3 inch headpin, go through the center hole in the bottom bead cap, then string your bead(s) on the inside of the cage and continue up through hole in the top bead cap. Then just make a loop with the remaining end of the headpin (if you are making a smaller size cage, you may need to trim some length off the headpin before creating your loop.
